"I started Goggles for Good with two things in mind: my mom and my community. As a Vietnamese immigrant, my mom never had the resources nor funds to learn how to properly swim. I wanted to make an impact both locally and internationally to help underprivileged people learn such an essential skill."
- Chloe Le, Founder
Our mission is to fight growing drowning rates and increase water safety in underprivileged communities using local resources and aquatic centers from around the world. From supporting local swim programs to encouraging others to learn more about our cause, we hope to turn swimming into an activity that is accessible for all families.
In partnership with local swim centers and international programs such as the AWSOM Project in Vietnam, Goggles for Good hosts donation drives to collect essential items such as kickboards, goggles, swimsuits, and life jackets. These items are then gifted to children in learn-to-swim programs.
Lessons nowadays can range from $30-60 for a single class. Through the help of community fundraisers and generous donations, Goggles for Good has made a commitment to fund lessons for children from low-income families. Not only does this remove the financial burden of swim lessons, but it also encourages families to learn about water safety. Visit our donation page to lend your support and make a difference!
The first step to making a true impact comes from awareness -- awareness of the problem and its solutions. Along with hosting community workshops and events, we are proud to offer numerous volunteer opportunities. We would love to hear from anyone who wishes to make a difference; from swim instructors, artists, to social media savvy individuals, please contact us!

My name is Chloe Le, and I am the Executive Director and Founder of Goggles for Good! Ever since I was 2, the water has been a close part of my life; from competitive swim teams, to beach days, to my time as a swim instructor, learning to swim has taught me valuable life skills and blessed me with unique experiences. I started Goggles for Good in hopes of sharing this joy with others who may not be fortunate enough to have access to water safety programs or swim gear. During my time as a swim instructor, I realized that swim lessons were incredibly expensive, which made them highly inaccessible for underprivileged families. My hope is to expand Goggles for Good into as many communities as we can, as everyone deserves to learn how to swim.
Hi, I’m Mia Trifunovic, a high school senior, and I’m proud to be the Outreach Director for Goggles for Good. I’ve been swimming since I was five years old, starting with club swimming in San Francisco and continuing with a team after moving to San Diego in 2016. Hi, I’m Mia Trifunovic, a high school senior, and I’m proud to be the Outreach Director for Goggles for Good. I’ve been swimming since I was five years old, starting with club swimming in San Francisco and continuing with a team after moving to San Diego in 2016. I’m currently a swim instructor and have always been passionate about water safety. Growing up, I participated in Junior Guards programs, which strengthened my love for the water and inspired me to share its benefits with others. As someone who has always been surrounded by the water and deeply values water safety, I know how important it is to equip everyone with the skills and resources to stay safe in and around the water. Tragically, water-related accidents claim too many lives each year, and I’m committed to making a difference. Through Goggles for Good, I aim to share my love for the water, provide access to swim lessons for those in need, and help spread awareness about water safety.
Hi, I'm Lucy Wang and I'm super excited to serve as the Secretary for Goggles for Good. I swam competitively for 7 years, and still do for fun. I really enjoy swimming and would love to share that joy with more people. Not only is it a fun activity, but it is also a crucial life skill that many people don’t have, so I want to work to give people this wonderful and valuable opportunity.
